Working with us

The answers procurement
asks for first

How an engagement is scoped, how it's paid for, who stands behind it, and who owns what at the end. It's all here so the first conversation can be about your operation rather than our paperwork.

Price

Fixed, for a written scope

Agreed before work starts. The scope says what's in, and the price doesn't move while the scope holds.

Payment

Three milestones

Project start, interim review, go-live. Or in full up front, if that suits your finance team better.

Insurance

£1m professional indemnity

Held with AXA by StoreBuilder Ltd. The certificate is available on request before you sign.

Ownership

Yours from day one

The store is built in your own Shopify account. The domain, the data and the build stay with you.

What each milestone pays for

Each payment falls due when something you can check has happened, never on a calendar date. The last one is due only after the cutover has run.

Milestone What triggers it
1 · Project start The scope is agreed and the engagement agreement signed
2 · Interim review You review the new store as an unpublished preview in your own account
3 · Go-live The cutover has run and the new store is taking orders

Who you're contracting with

The company

Crossdock is a trading name of StoreBuilder Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company no. 09590027, trading since 2015 and a Shopify Partner.

The principal

Tony Cooper is accountable for the engagement from the first conversation to the cutover, and is the person you deal with throughout.

The partners

Specialist slices go to partners who are named to you before anything is signed. One contract covers all of it, so there's one party accountable for the cutover.

Commercial relationships

StoreBuilder Ltd is a Shopify Partner and earns referral commission when a merchant moves to or upgrades a Shopify plan through us. We also hold an affiliate account with Stok.ly, which makes stock and order management software. No other vendor named on this site pays us.

The engagement agreement is a separate document signed before work starts. This website's terms of use don't replace it, and how enquiries are handled is set out in the privacy notice.

Start with a conversation

What the systems are doing now, and what you need them to do. We'll tell you whether it's a platform problem or something cheaper.

StoreBuilder Ltd uses what you send to reply to you and, if the work goes further, to scope it. See the privacy notice.
