Shopify B2B, plan by plan
Shopify B2B sells wholesale from the same admin as retail: company accounts, trade catalogues, net terms, quick reorders. Since April 2026 it runs on every Shopify plan, Basic to Plus.
The plan decides three things: how many trade catalogues you can run, whether a catalogue can be set company by company, and whether you can take deposits. Everything else is on every plan.

Do you need Plus for B2B?
No, not to start. A wholesale operation with a handful of price structures, net terms and reordering runs on Basic, Grow or Advanced.
Advanced adds contextual checkout and storefront through Shopify Markets, which matters when trade buyers in different markets see different checkouts or content.
Plus is the answer when trade pricing outgrows three catalogues, when prices are set customer by customer, or when orders need deposits, partial payments or payment per fulfilment. What else Plus changes, and what the step costs, is on Shopify Plus.
Plus only
- Unlimited B2B catalogues
- Catalogues assigned to a company or location
- Deposits and partial payments
- Payment requests per fulfilment

Switching B2B on: the decisions behind it
One store or two
Shopify runs trade and retail from one store, or wholesale from a separate B2B-only store. One store shares a single stock pool and one catalogue; two stores need stock kept level between them, which is a stock control decision before it's a Shopify one.
Where trade prices live
Catalogues hold trade prices in Shopify. If an ERP or accounts package already holds them, name one of the two as the master and let the other follow, or the two drift. How that connection is built is on systems.
Terms reaching the ledger
Net terms create invoices someone has to chase, so trade orders reach the accounts as invoices per order rather than a daily summary. That setup is on Shopify and Xero.
Where native stops
Quotes that need approval, contract pricing beyond the catalogue limits, and allocation between trade and retail orders are jobs for an app, an ERP or an order layer. Name the job, then shortlist what does it.
Shopify B2B: questions
Can Shopify be used for B2B?
Yes. Since April 2026, Shopify B2B runs on every plan: Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus. It covers company accounts, trade catalogues with their own pricing, quantity rules, net payment terms, vaulted cards, draft orders and quick reordering, from the same admin as retail.
What is B2B on Shopify?
Shopify B2B is a set of native features for selling to businesses: companies and their locations, catalogues that set trade prices, quantity rules and price breaks, net terms, purchase order numbers and a trade storefront. It runs in one store alongside retail, or in a separate B2B-only store.
What does Shopify B2B cost?
B2B is included in the plan price, with no separate B2B fee. On Shopify's UK pricing page the plans run from £19 a month for Basic to from £1,800 a month for Plus, on annual billing, read 24 September 2026. Which plan you need depends on how many trade catalogues you run and whether you take deposits.
What is the best B2B app for Shopify?
Start with the native features, because they now cover company accounts, trade pricing, terms and reordering on every plan. An app earns its place for a job the native set does not do, such as a quote-and-approval workflow or pricing rules beyond the catalogue limits. Name the job first, then shortlist apps that do that job.
